Failure to follow preparations for the exam may result in rescheduling your appointment.
Pharmacy Requirements
Please purchase the following from your local pharmacy:
1. Two (2) Fleet Saline Enemas (Saline is a Must)
Fleet enemas can be purchased over the counter at any local pharmacy. Ask pharmacists if you have any questions regarding enema.
2. Gas-X Tablets
Standard over-the-counter strength. These are required to reduce bowel gas interference during imaging.
Preparation Timeline
Follow these chronological steps to ensure the highest quality diagnostic images.

The DAY BEFORE your appointment:
- Only have light meals. (No caffeine, No carbonated drinks)

The NIGHT BEFORE your appointment:
- Take one (1) Gas-X tablet.
- Administer one (1 of the 2) Fleet Saline Enema before bed.

The MORNING OF your appointment:
- Take one (1) Gas-X tablet the morning of the exam.
- Administer second (2nd) Fleet Saline Enema 1-hour prior to exam.
- Do NOT EAT or DRINK anything else (3) hours before their exam.
